How to Print on Parchment Paper
Parchment is typically used for printing important documents, diplomas, and when a antique look is wanted. The paper can be described as thick, tough, resistant to grease and dirt stains, and does well withstanding water. Parchment Paper is a durable material, once made out of the skin of a sheep or goat. Now similar paper can now be made with by treating paper from cellulose fibers with sulfuric acid. Because the paper is thicker and has a different surface then most paper, printing on the average printer must be done with care to achieve satisfactory results.

Go to the printer settings on your printer. On Windows, click on file then click on printer setup. Double check to make sure the length and width is set right to print your parchment paper. Set the ink color to your choice. Remember if your going for a antique look, you may need to buy special ink to create the desire look. Solid dark colors that come with the basic ink cartridge can also be used.

Preview the document before printing. In Windows, this can be done by clicking on file at the top of the screen and the click on print preview. This allows you to see how the document will look once printed. If the paper does not look right dimension wise, go back to change settings in printer set up.
Tips & Warnings
When buying parchment make sure it is printer friendly. Some parchment paper is only met to be used with a quill pen.
If printing large quantities of documents on parchment paper, consider using a professional print shop. A printer will have the equipment to work with the parchment paper in a much faster method. If you already have the parchment paper, bring it with you so you do not have to pay for the paper again.
