1
Decide on the location where you'd like to mount the garage wall-mounted vacuum cleaner. Although these vacuums come equipped with long hoses (typically more than 30 feet), since you can't move them you'll want to be sure it's in a location where you can reach the places you'll need to vacuum. In addition, be sure it's close enough to an electric outlet that you can plug it in easily.
-
2
Place the template supplied with the vacuum onto the wall where you'll be mounting it and tape it in place.
-
-
3
Mark the wall with a pencil in the spots indicated by the template for placing your hollow wall anchors. Remove the template from the wall.
-
4
Make a small pilot hole in each of the marked locations with a small finishing nail and a hammer. The pilot hole will ensure that the wall anchors will go into the spots you want.
-
5
Place your wall anchors, one at a time, onto the pilot holes and tap them into the wall with a rubber mallet.
-
6
Have an assistant hold the vacuum against the wall so that the holes in the back of the vacuum line up with the wall anchors. Insert the screws provided with the garage vacuum into the holes and screw them into the wall anchors, one at a time.
-
7
Plug your vacuum into a wall outlet and get to work.
