How to Find a Price on Fenton Glass

Frank and John Fenton started their own glass business in 1905 with a glass works in Williamstown, W.V. Fenton glass is handmade, using molds into which the glass is pressed, and further work is done after removal. The company is still producing collectible glass today.       Consult Fenton Art Glass 1907-1939: Identification & Value Guide, 2nd edition, by Margaret and Kenn Whitmyer, for full-color photographs of the glass, with quotes by Frank Fenton. Original catalog details are included, and glassware is arranged by type. Prices are current as of 2002, but the details of individual glass types, background and authority of the experienced authors still stand.

      Look in Fenton Art Glass Patterns 1939-1980: Identification & Value Guide, by Margaret and Kenn Whitmyer, which picks up the story where the above volume leaves off, adding details about Crest, Spiral Optic, Coin Dot and Hobnail, which are the book's major chapters.
