How to Broadcast With a Brother Fax Machine

Brother International markets a line of fax machines for business use with the ability to broadcast faxes. To broadcast a fax is to process a document once through the sending fax machine and have that document sent to multiple receiving fax machines. Performing a broadcast fax is very similar to sending a single fax except that you input more than one phone number, or recipient, for the document.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Fax" button on the control panel.

    • 2

Load your document face down into the automatic document feed tray.

    • 3

Enter a phone number using the keypad on the control panel. Press "OK."

    • 4

Repeat Step 3 as many times as necessary to input all the numbers to which you wish to broadcast the fax.

    • 5

Press the "Black Start" button on the control panel.

Tips & Warnings

  • A fax can be broadcast to as many as 160 phone numbers.

  • Broadcasting is performed using black only. A document cannot be broadcast as a color fax.

  • In addition to phone numbers, you can use a one-touch number, speed-dial number or group number if these numbers have been programmed into your Brother fax machine. Consult the user guide for your fax machine to find information on programming these numbers.
