Homemade Rose Centerpiece Party Craft
-
1
Wrap the outside of the cardboard shoebox with the metallic gold wrapping paper. This is the base for your homemade rose centerpiece party craft. Make sure to cut the paper ends long so that you can tape them deep inside.
-
2
Cut the floral foam block so that it fits snugly into the shoebox. Make sure the block sits about 1 inch below the rim of the shoebox. Remove the block from the shoebox after checking the height and wrap the floral foam block like a present with the wrapping paper and tape.

3
Trace the shape of the shoebox onto a piece of tissue paper. Increase the overall diameter of the shape by 4 inches. Cut five of the shapes from the tissue paper. Place the five piece of tissue paper into the shoebox at different angles.
-
4
Slide the wrapped foam block into the shoebox so that the edges of the tissue paper stick out. Pull and lightly crinkle the tissue paper as needed to create a decorative edging between the block and shoebox portions of the homemade rose party craft.
-
5
Cut the leafy stem of a silk rose for the homemade rose centerpiece to 6 inches long. Carefully slide the stem into the top corner of the covered floral foam block. Cut another rose stem and slide it next to the first rose, keeping the flowers close together. Repeat the process until the entire foam block is covered in a grid of silk roses.

6
Cut four circles from the tissue paper, 7 inches in diameter each, to create the base of your homemade rose wall party craft. Cut three circles from the tissue paper, 5 inches in diameter each. Stack the paper shapes evenly, with the smaller circles centered on top.
-
7
Cut the stem of a silk rose to 2 inches in length and remove any leaves. Spear the center of the paper stack with the short rose stem. Pull the flower against the papers and bend the stem down to secure the papers in place. Add a few small strips of clear tape across the stem and bottom paper to secure.
-
8
Gently scrunch each tissue paper around the rose to create a rounded, floral shape and make sure to keep the papers separate for a full silhouette. Use a loop of tape to secure the homemade rose wall party craft to walls, doors, poles or cabinets.
