Purchase premade meatballs. Most often, they are found in the freezer section in the Italian entree section. Usually, a majority of the premade meatballs are made of a mixture of beef, pork and veal and have Italian seasonings. This is acceptable for this recipe.
You may also be able to find fresh-made meatballs in the fresh meat section of your market. If your market makes fresh meatballs, ask the butcher if he will make meatballs half the size they usually make them just for you. The butcher may need 24 hours or more to special order custom-sized meatballs.

Take out a crockpot and put the cook setting on high. Don't worry about defrosting the meatballs if they are frozen. This recipe can be used with either fresh or frozen meatballs.
