Whether you're using your home computer, iPod or DVR, keeping track of all the video in your personal collection can become difficult. The best thing to do in this situation is to consolidate all of the video onto one place. But what do you do if you'd like to take videos from your Real Player library to your iPod? The two weren't always compatible but luckily newer versions of the Real Player sync up easily to the iPod, making the transfer of media an easy process.

• Computer with internet access
• USB cable
• Real Player

Instructions

Transferring Video from Real Player to the iPod

1. Plug your iPod into your computer via the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port and open the Real Player program on your desktop by clicking on the icon.

2. Wait for Real Player to recognize and sync to your iPod. if you have an older version of Real Player that doesn't recognize your iPod you can visit http://www.real.com/realplayer and click the "RealPlayer SP" tab at the bottom of the page to download the most recent program for free.

3. Open the media library on Real Player and highlight the videos you wish to transfer.

4. Drag the selected video from your Real Player library and drop it on the iPod icon on your desktop.

5. Wait for the video transfer. After a second or two open your iPod library and the video should be available.
