      Plug your iPod into your computer via the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port and open the Real Player program on your desktop by clicking on the icon.

      Wait for Real Player to recognize and sync to your iPod. if you have an older version of Real Player that doesn't recognize your iPod you can visit http://www.real.com/realplayer and click the "RealPlayer SP" tab at the bottom of the page to download the most recent program for free.
