How to Download Skype With Windows Open Setup
Skype is an extremely useful tool that allows you to chat, make voice and video calls to other Skype users and even call landline phone numbers (some fees apply). For Windows users that have configured their machines to run with an open setup (using only open-source software, not delivered software), Skype is an important addition to your collection of tools. Because Skype in its basic form is free, it is a popular chat and VoIP client. In a few simple steps you can download and install Skype on a Windows open computer.

Tips & Warnings
If you don't want Skype to start automatically when you boot your computer, you can change the setting in the Preferences dialog box.
Depending on how open your setup is, you may need to find audio drivers that work with your hardware. The best way to do this is to search for audio drivers that work with your motherboard or audio card. Since there are so many different combinations, you'll have to search for these drivers on your own.
