How to Decorate With Colored Tape
Tape comes in various styles and colors. Use colored tape to make decorations at home. Scotch tape, electrical tape and masking tape all come in different colors. Office supply stores and hardware stores usually carry most kinds of tape. The cost of the tape varies by type and brand. Knock-off or store brands tend to be cheaper than name brands. As long as the tape doesn't get wet, it lasts for several months to years.

Candle

Cut a long piece of tape off the roll.

Insert a straight pin into one end of the tape strip. Insert it into the top of the candle.

Wrap the tape down the candle in a spiral pattern. Secure in place with straight pins, as the tape may not stick to the candle on its own.
Ornament

Cut off a long strand of colored tape.

Wrap it around the ornament or make a design.

Press the tape firmly into place.
Magnet board

Cut several long strips in either one color of tape or several colors. The pieces should be around two inches longer than the board.

Place the pieces of tape on the board. Lay the tape vertical, horizontal or diagonal.

Lay each piece next to each other. The sides of the tape should slightly overlap each other to prevent gapping.
