If you want to obtain a home processor license, a double sink is specified as one of the requirements. "Your kitchen will need a two-bay sink made of corrosion resistant material in or adjacent to the food preparation area" states the Maine Organic Farmers and Growers Association. 1
Clean the opening where the double sink is to be installed. Make sure you clean both the top and the bottom of the counter.
-
2
Secure the mounting clips around the underside of the opening. Make sure that you space them evenly. Do not worry about tightening the fasteners securely yet. Point the clips away from the opening; you'll turn them right way around after the sink is in place.

3
Apply a bead of silicone sealant around the top of the opening.
-
4
Set the double sink in place. Turn the mounting clips around so that they slip over the edge of the sink. Tighten the fasteners the rest of the way. Apply more silicone to the joint between the counter and the top of the sink. Wipe away any excess with a rag. Let the sealant dry before continuing.
-
5
Install the faucet, knobs and strainers for each drain. Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
-
6
Connect the drain and the trap. Connect the faucet. Turn on the water to test your installation. If there are no leaks, you are finished. If the connections leak, tighten them.
