How to Download Ring Tones for Verizon Cell Phones
Verizon cell phones come with a number of standard ring tones you can use to customize the sound of incoming calls. A ring tone can be set as universal and play regardless of the caller, or you can set a different ring tone for everyone in your phone book. If you prefer the sound of individual ring tones or if you just want a little variety, download additional ring tones either directly from Verizon or from numerous third party providers.

Download Ring Tones from Verizon

Access Verizon "Get It Now" shopping menu. For most Verizon cell phones, access the shopping menu via the Main menu screen. Select "Get Tones" from the shopping menu to access the Verizon Media Store.

Select ring tone and enter phone information. Enter your 10-digit phone number and account password in the pop-up box. Click "Yes" to start download and add the ring tone to your "Sounds" menu.

Activate ring tone. Access your "Sounds" menu and select the ring tone you wish to activate. Select the default option to make the ring tone standard for all callers or set the ring tone to an individual caller.

Connect to the Internet using your phone. Navigate to the website from which you wish to download ring tones.

Sign in to an existing account or follow on-screen instructions to set up a new account.

Select ring tone and follow on-screen instructions to download the ring tone to your phone.

Tips & Warnings
Newer phones may require you to access the Internet via the Media Center. If your phone is a Media Center phone, ring tones are available from the "Music and Tones" section of Media Center. Check your Verizon user manual for specific instructions if your phone is different. If you do not have your user manual, visit the Verizon website to download one or call Customer Service from your Verizon cell phone by dialing *611 or from your home phone at (800) 922-0204.
If you do not have Internet access via your phone, some third party sites allow file transfer using your home computer. After downloading the ring tone to your home computer, you can transfer it to your phone.
Read pricing information. Ring tones available at the Verizon Media Store and some third party sites are not free. Charges for ring tones can be one-time or monthly.
If you are downloading a ring tone from a third party site make sure it is compatible with your Verizon cell phone.
