How to Charge an HP Bluetooth Mouse

A wireless mouse offers you far more freedom than a wired mouse. In addition, because of the lack of a scroll wheel, there are also less parts to the mouse, which means lighter weight, and better speed since there's nothing to get dirty. Bluetooth mice from manufacturers such as HP also provide a secure connection, and they can also be charged quickly as well.

Instructions

    • 1

Open up the battery cover and place the rechargable batteries inside the battery compartment. Line up the batteries and place them as indicated in the battery compartment. Close the battery compartment.

    • 2

Connect the charger for the mouse to a power outlet. Place the charger someplace you can readily access it, such as a desk.

    • 3

Place the mount on the charger, making sure to alight the metal points or holes on both the mouse and the charger. You will need to wait for the mouse to fully charge. Usually this takes up to 12 hours, however you should refer to your manual in case the charging time is different. When you place the mouse on the charger, you should see an indicator flash, usually a blinking green light or a solid red light.

Remove the mouse when the indicator light shows that the charger is ready. If the light was flashing, the indicator will be when the light turns solid. If the light was red when charging, look for the light to turn green.

Tips & Warnings

  • You must charge the mouse the full time stated in the manual, or the batteries will not work to their full capacity.
