1
Remove all furniture from the room. Mop the floor thoroughly to remove dust and debris.
-
2
Sand the floor with medium grit sandpaper to scuff it just a bit. This will help the primer adhere better.
-
-
3
Tape around the perimeter of the room using painter's tape. This will keep the baseboards or walls from being damaged.
-
4
Using a paint roller, apply a coat of primer to the marble floor. Allow the primer to dry for about four hours, making sure to follow the manufacturer's directions.
-
5
Working from one side of the room to the other, spray a coat of stone finish on the floor, covering the marble evenly. Allow the stone finish to dry according to the manufacturer's directions, about 30 minutes under normal circumstances.
-
6
Pour a small amount of the polymer resin into your bucket. Again, you should work from one side of the room to the other. Pour the polymer resin on the marble floor, using the paint spreader to push the polymer resin back into place. Cover the entire floor with a generous coat of polymer resin and allow it to dry per the manufacturer's directions, or approximately 1 hour. When the polymer resin is completely dry, your marble floor will have a luxurious shine.
