How to Clean the Inside of Leather Coats

Things You'll Need
- Sponge
- Water
- Powdered laundry detergent
- Clothes hanger
- Baking soda
- Vacuum cleaner
- Hose attachment
- Odor-neutralizing fabric spray

Dampen a clean sponge with warm water. Wring out any excess moisture.

Sprinkle powdered laundry detergent onto the sponge.

Turn your leather coat inside out and gently scrub the lining with the damp sponge. Be careful not to wet the leather portion of the coat.

Rinse out the sponge, thoroughly, and re-dampen it with warm water. Wring out excess moisture and wipe down the lining to remove any detergent residue.

Hang the leather coat, while inside out, on a hanger and allow to air dry.

Tips & Warnings
Lightly dust the lining of your leather coat with backing soda and use a hose attachment on your vacuum cleaner to suck away excess powder and unpleasant odors.
You can freshen the lining of your leather coat by lightly spraying fabric odor neutralizer while the coat is turned inside out.
