How to Convert an iTunes MP3 for PowerPoint Usage
Adding music to your PowerPoint presentation can make your slide show more entertaining. You can play the tune throughout the presentation or with specific slides. Songs already saved in your iTunes library are MP3 files. Before you add a song to a PowerPoint file, it must be converted into a WAV file. You will need to download software, such as Audacity, to convert your media files.

Once the import is complete, you can stop the song from playing because it's been saved to the "my music" folder.
