How to Make a Fresh Flower Cascading Bouquet Using Calla Lily

Creating a fresh flower arrangement can be done using any type of flower mixed with green accents. Take advantage of seasonal blooms within your garden to make a bouquet. Use long-stemmed flowers to add height and balance to an arrangement. Add different colors and textures to the vase for a vibrant design. Accent the bouquet with greenery like fern fronds and ivy. Always make sure the blooms are fresh and unbruised to ensure a long-lasting and stunning bouquet.

Things You'll Need

• Container
• Floral foam
• Accent flowers
• Fillers

Instructions

1. Cut the ends of each flower stem and greenery sprigs to fit inside the container. Remove any leaves or foliage that interfere with the floral foam.

2. Place a piece of moist floral foam in the bottom of a container.

3. Place the calla lily blooms in the back and center of the bouquet for balance. Place medium-sized flowers in between the calla lily blooms for bursts of color.

4. Add sprigs of draping wisteria blooms so that they flow over the sides of the vase. Place these on either side of the arrangement.

5. Insert filler flowers like nandina berries in small spaces and provide a cascading effect to the bouquet. Cut small pieces of greenery and place them in between the lily blooms to help fill in empty spaces as well.

6. Add cascading sprigs of small herbs like thyme and mint at the front of the vase so that they fall over the container.
