How to Configure a Sky Broadband Router to Play Xbox Live

XBox Live is a gaming system created by Microsoft that allows players all over the world to face each other. XBox Live requires not only a broadband connection, but also a router such as a Sky Broadband Router that comes with some DSL or Cable setups. XBox Live is made to be easily set up with any router.

Instructions

1. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port located on the back of the XBox.

2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Sky Broadband Router, using the ports specified for networking in the back of the Router.

3. Turn on your XBox.

4. Open up the "XBox Live" tab on your XBox.

5. Click "Connect to XBox Live."

6. Enter your XBox Live login credentials. If you don't have an XBox Live account, you will be given the opportunity to do so.

7. Insert a XBox Live-compatible video game into the XBox, then select the "XBox Live" option in the game. This connects you to XBox live where you can play the game online.
