How to Create an Online Word Search Free
Word search puzzles are fun to do and easy to create. Instead of buying books of word search puzzles, you can make them for yourself or for children. The nice thing about making your own puzzles is that you can choose the theme and words to customize your puzzles. You can tailor the puzzles for different grade levels for children or make puzzles for adult activities such as baby showers, bridal showers or birthday parties.

Navigate to an online site such as armoredpenguin.com/wordsearch, which is free to use.

Enter the words that you want to have in the word search. You can enter as few words as you want or up to 56 words. The words can be names, verbs, nouns or any other word that you want.

Enter a title and a description for the word search puzzle. This is optional and is not required to create the puzzle. You will want to do this step if you plan to save the puzzle to the website where you make the puzzle for others to see and use.

Customize the puzzle by selecting font size, color and grids. This step is optional and does not need to be done to create a word search. This step allows you to make customize the look of the puzzles you create.

Select where you want the word list on the page. Click "Make Puzzle" to go to the finished puzzle.

Select the button to print the puzzle in PDF format or create an HTML version. Print an answer sheet if you will need one by selecting the answer button after printing your worksheet.
