Instructions

    • 1

Locate the calendar template you want to download. You can download calendar templates from Microsoft (linked in Resources) or a non-Microsoft-affiliated site, such as Hoover Web Design (linked in Resources). There are plenty of free calendar resources on the web you can take advantage of.

Click on the calendar template you want to download. Click on "Download," if available, and follow the automatic prompts to complete the download, which might take several minutes. For a 13-month calendar, make sure you download all 12 months of the new year, plus December from the current year. You might be able to download all 12 months of the new year at the same time, but downloading December from the previous year will require you to locate it and download it individually.

Save your calendar to your computer if you want to personalize it before you print it out. Saving the calendar is not required, but if you add personal information and there's a glitch, you could lose that information. Save your files in an area that's easy to locate, such as your Desktop.

    • 4

Personalize your 13-month calendar by clicking on the cell you want to modify. For example, if you want to add Independence Day to your calendar, click July 4 and type "Independence Day." Depending on your word processing program, you should be able to change the font, size and color of the type to your preference. If you choose a calendar with a Notes section at the bottom, you can add any text that doesn't fit in the cell down there. Otherwise, try to keep your notes in the available text box.
