How to Download Music for Guitar Hero
Guitar Hero is a video game phenomenon that has become incredibly popular with gamers around the world. The game involves playing along with real, established rock songs using a guitar-shaped controller. There are thousands of songs available for Guitar Hero players to play on their console. They may be purchased from the PlayStation 3 store for the PlayStation 3 version of Guitar Hero 3.

Connect your PS3 to the Internet and have your sign-in information for your PlayStation Network account. If your PSN account is tied to a credit card or Entropay account, have that information ready as well. You will need this to pay for the songs.

Start your PlayStation 3 console and, using the PS3 controller, navigate to the Add-Ons section of their store. Find and select the Guitar Hero III page. According to GameFAQs.com, the link should be available if you've recently played the game; if not, navigate to G and select Guitar Hero III.

Browse the available list of songs and select a song to download. Most songs have a fee to download, though there are occasionally free tracks available. Songs and song packs range from 99 cents to $3.

Install the songs for your game once the download has completed. The install option will be back on the XrossMediaBar--the PS3's homepage--and the install should complete fairly quickly.

Launch Guitar Hero to make sure the download and install worked. Attempt to play the new song(s) you downloaded. If there is a problem, retrace your downloading steps to make you did it right. Refer to your PS3 and Guitar Hero user manuals.
