How to Become Debt Free Using Quicken Deluxe 2010

• Quicken Deluxe 2010 software or equivalent.

Instructions

1. Acquire and download Quicken Deluxe Financial Software 2010 into your computer. This software is available at Office Max and many other stores. It is also available online at Amazon. You can also buy it at their website. www.quicken.intuit.com
   This program runs around $50.00. If you find a better deal even better.
   *This article focuses solely on debt reduction.

2. CLICK THE "PLANNING" TAB
   There are several categories in this program; bills, banking, planning. Once you download the program open the program and click on the "planning" tab.

3. CLICK THE BUTTON "OTHER TOOLS"
   Once you have clicked the planning button you will find a number of choices. Click the "other tools" button.

4. CLICK "DEBT REDUCTION PLANNER"
   The Debt Reduction Planner is going to show you how to get out of debt at the earliest date possible.

5. ****Enter Debt****
   CLICK "NEXT" AND ENTER HOW MUCH YOU OWE
   CLICK THE "ADD" BUTTON
   This area will ask you for the lender name, current balance, type of loan, current payment, minimum payment, along with the percentage rate. To add more bills, simply click the "add" button as many times necessary.
   Then CLICK "NEXT"
   You will then be given your total debt and the year that you will get out of debt at the rate that you have been going.

6. ****View their suggestions*****
   CLICK "NEXT"
   You will then be given their suggestion of the order and minimum amount that you should pay each bill. More than likely they will suggest that you focus on the credit cards with the highest interest rate. You can click the "Change Payment Order" if you would like to focus on a different credit card first.

7. *****Add extra money*****
   You will then be asked whether or not you would like to apply any of your savings to your debt.
   Enter amount desired.
   CLICK "NEXT"

8. ****Budget Adjustment****
   You will be given an opportunity to cut your budget so that you can apply even more money to your debt.
   ENTER DESIRED AMOUNTS
   CLICK "NEXT"

9. ****Action Plan****
   You will then be given an action plan. Print your action plan so that you can stay focused all year long. The program helped me cut my years back from 5 years until debt free to 1 1/2 until debt free. The $50 was well worth it!!!!
