How to Empty a Shark Cordless Sweeper
Shark Cordless Sweepers are useful for small jobs on hardwood and carpet. The sweeper is battery powered, which makes it easier to maneuver than a standard electrically powered vacuum cleaner. Because the sweeper is designed for smaller messes, it does not have a bag or large canister for collecting dust. Turn off the sweeper by pressing the "Power" foot pedal on the nozzle.

Grip the handle of the dust cup on the right side of the nozzle and pull it straight out of machine. Be careful not to spill any of the contents as the top of the dust cup is open.

Dump the contents of the dust cup into a waste receptacle.

Clean out the dust cup under running water if needed. Dry the dust cup thoroughly with a towel or cloth. If you do not dry off the dust cup, it may make it more difficult to empty the contents later, as the dirt and debris will clump together and potentially stick to the cup.

Slide the dust cup back into the nozzle before running the machine again.
