How to Clear an Internet Explorer URL

Each time users enter a URL into the address bar in Internet Explorer, the URL goes into the search history. As a result, a drop-down menu displaying similar URLs appears as users type in addresses that they wish to navigate to. Some users prefer that these cached items do not appear. The appropriate method to use for clearing the history from the Internet Explorer address bar depends on the version of Explorer you are using.
