How to Raise a Dog in RuneScape

Dogs are a fun pet to have follow you around. There are six breeds of dogs available in RuneScape and all start out as puppies. If you care for the puppy, it will eventually grow into an adult dog. They like to eat raw meat and have no actual use in the game other than being a loyal companion.

Instructions

1. Go to one of the pet shops in Yanille or Taverly. Yanille is located south of Ardougne and east of Castle Wars. The quickest method to get to Yanille is using the Watchtower teleport. Teverly is located north-west of Falador. Falador also has a teleport available.

2. Pay the owner of the pet shop 500 gold pieces to purchase a puppy. They do not sell the food for the puppies at the pet store.

3. Collect some raw meat from a cow, rat or a bear. Feed it to your dog when he starts to get hungry. You must feed it before it gets too hungry or it will run away from you and you will have to buy a new dog.

4. Wait about two hours for the puppy to grow into an adult dog.

Tips & Warnings

• You must be a level four summoner to buy a puppy.

• You can examine dogs for an interesting comment on each one.

• If you teleport, the dog will automatically go with you.

• If you die you will lose your dog.
