Instructions

    • 1

Remove the rims from your motorcycle and set aside. Prepare an area to paint the rims and set out your supplies so that they are in your reach.

    • 2

Use the paint brush to put on the aircraft stripper. Use a rag to wipe off the loosened layers of paint.

    • 3

Repeat step 2 until all paint is removed.

    • 4

Wipe the rim with a rag soaked in mineral spirits to remove any residue.

    • 5

Use the painter's tape to tape off any areas of the rim that you don't intend to paint.

    • 6

Use the easy spray rattle can of primer to spray a thin coat of paint on the entire surface of the rim. Leave to dry. Now use WET 1000 grit sandpaper to sand down any imperfections in the paint. Repeat with 1 more coat of primer and let dry. Use the sandpaper again until satisfied with product.

Use the easy spray rattle can of colored paint on the entire surface of the rim until covered completely. Leave to dry. Use wet 1500 grit sandpaper to remove any bubbles in the first coat. Apply a second coat of color and let dry. Now use a wet 2000 grit sandpaper on second coat.

    • 8

Spray the clear coat onto the second coat of color and allow to dry. Use wet 2000 grit sandpaper on this coat and repeat this whole step 2 more times. Allow to dry. This will produce a shiny, smooth surface.

When the rims are dry, remove the painters tape and use a cloth and scratch removal wax to make the rim shiny and more protected. Replace the rims onto your motorcycle and enjoy as people stare while you ride by with your blindingly shiny rims!
