How to Upgrade Internet Explorer on Sony Vaio

Microsoft Internet Explorer is the proprietary Internet browser that is included with the Microsoft Windows operating system. With each subsequent version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, new features such as browsing session recovery, reverse compatibility with websites designed for earlier browsers, free add-ons and improved security features are included to enhance the Internet browsing experience. The upgrade process applies not only to the Sony Vaio, but also to all other computers using the Windows operating system.

Instructions

1. Click on the link included in the Resources section of this article to take you to the Microsoft Internet Explorer home page.

2. Click the Download Now button. (Do not click the Downloads link at the top of the page. This will bring you to all the available downloads for the Windows operating system.)

3. Select your country or region from the menu on the left.

4. Select your operating system from the menu on the right. Once you have done this, you will be brought to the Download page.

5. Review the information listed on the Download page and, when you are ready, click the Download button.

6. Save the file to your desktop for easy access. Once the download is complete, double-click the .exe file to begin installation.

7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
