How to Make Olive Oil, Coconut and Bergamot Hand Cream
Olive oil, coconut and bergamot hand cream is a simple, natural alternative to expensive store-bought hand creams, which often contain potentially harmful or simply unnecessary additives and preservatives. Olive oil, coconut and bergamot hand cream is especially good for tired, overworked hands, and is best applied after showering when the skin is clean and can absorb the moisture. Things You'll Need
- 1/3 cup grapeseed oil
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup raw coconut oil
- 1 tbsp. zinc oxide
- ½ tsp. cocoa butter
- ½ tsp. shea butter
- 1 tbsp. beeswax
- 1/3 cup orange flower water
- 1/3 cup distilled water
- 1/3 cup aloe vera gel
- 20 drops vitamin E oil
- 10 drops bergamot essential oil
- Blender
- Wide-mouth glass jar with lid

Pour the grapeseed, olive and coconut oils into the top of a double boiler. Add the zinc oxide, cocoa butter, shea butter and beeswax.

Heat gently over low heat for about two to three minutes or until the beeswax is melted. Transfer the mixture to a clean glass mixing cup. Let it cool for one hour at room temperature.

Combine the orange flower water, aloe vera gel, vitamin E oil and bergamot essential oil in a blender cup. Blend for 30 seconds

Add the grapeseed-olive-coconut oil mixture slowly to the blender while the motor is running and blend for an additional minute.

Pour the finished hand cream into a wide-mouth glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store in a cool, dark place between uses.
