How to Load Songs Onto a Sony Video Walkman

Since the Sony Walkman supports a large variety of audio formats, it's easiest to upload them to your player using Windows Media Player, available for both PC and Mac.

      Connect your Sony Walkman MP3 player to the computer using the supplied USB cable.

      Click the Windows "Start" menu and click "All Programs." Click "Windows Media Player" to launch the media player. WMP displays your player on the left panel. For Mac users, launch Windows Media Player from the "Applications" folder or from the dock.

      Click the "File" menu and click "Add to Library." Select the folder containing the songs you want to upload to your player and import the songs to the WMP library.

      Click the "Library" tab and click "Music" to view the songs you have uploaded to the WMP library.

      Right-click "Playlists" on the left panel and then click "Create Playlist." Name the playlist whatever you want.

      Click "Songs" under "Library" on the left panel and drag the songs you uploaded from the WMP library into the playlist you created.

      Click your playlist when you are done adding songs. See the playlist songs on the right panel. Drag the songs up or down to select the playback order.

      Click the "Sync" tab when you are done setting the playback order. See the sync list on the right panel.

      Drag the playlist containing your songs to the sync list. Click "Start Sync" to upload the songs to your MP3 player.

      Right-click your player on the left panel when the process completes. Click "Eject." Disconnect your player from the computer.
