How to Use Music for a Ring Tone on a Blackberry Curve

Using a personalized ring tone on your BlackBerry Curve is one of the ways you can set yourself apart from the millions of other BlackBerry users. You can download ring tones from your mobile service provider or a third-party provider. However, both of these options cost money. On the other hand, you can use the BlackBerry desktop manager to transfer a music file to your BlackBerry Curve and use it as a ring tone for free.

Instructions

Turn on your BlackBerry Curve and connect it to your computer. If the BlackBerry desktop manager doesn't automatically start, go your computer's Start menu and open the program manually. If you don't have the BlackBerry desktop manager, you can install in from the disc that came with your BlackBerry Curve or download it directly from the manufacturer's websites. Use the Blackberry desktop manager to add songs from your computer to your BlackBerry Curve.
