How to Copy & Paste on a Blackberry II
Blackberry devices are well known for their messaging capabilities, and have developed a very devoted following of customers. Blackberries also offer a powerful operating system that offers many of the same features of a desktop computer. If you are a new Blackberry user, you will want to learn some of the basic but very useful capabilities of your new device, such as the ability to cut and paste text.

Position your cursor at the starting point of the text that you wish to copy.

Hold down "Alt" and press down on the trackball of your Blackberry so that it goes into selection mode.

Roll your trackball to select all the text to be copied. Press the trackball and a menu will appear.

Select "Copy." Move your cursor to the location to which you wish to paste the text you have copied.

Click the trackball again, select "Paste," and you are finished. The text will appear.

Use an alternative method to copy and paste by pressing "Shift" while scrolling your trackball to select text.

Press the "Menu" button, and select "Copy" form the menu that appears.

Position your cursor in the desired location for the text, press "Menu" again, and select "Paste" to complete the job.

Tips & Warnings
Once you have finished with the copy and paste, you can free up memory by removing the selected text from the Blackberry clipboard. Select Options>Security Options>Memory Cleaning. Set it to Enable, press the Menu button, and select Clear Now.
