How to Dye Processed Hair
Processed hair refers to hair that has been altered by chemical treatments. Hair that has been straightened, waved, curled, colored or bleached, with chemicals, are all examples of processed hair. If you have just processed your hair, the safest way to dye it is to use henna as a dye. There are many henna products available on the market but the safest one for processed hair is body art quality henna, with no chemicals. Body art henna is pure plant hair dye and conditioning without the harsh chemicals that can damage your hair. You can become a beautiful brunette or have jet black hair by using plant dyes such as henna and indigo. Does this Spark an idea?

3
Add lemon juice to the henna until it is moistened and has the consistency of whipped potatoes. Let this mixture stand for eight hours or overnight to ensure the dye is released from the henna.

4
Add water to the henna mixture until it looks like a smooth yogurt.
-
5
Put on latex gloves. Section your hair and apply the henna to each section so every strand of hair is coated. Repeat this process until you have covered every strand of hair down to your scalp.
-
6
Cover hair with the remaining henna and wrap hair in plastic wrap for two hours.
-
7
Rinse the henna out and dry your hair. This process will turn gray hair to red. If that is your desired color, you are done. If you don't like it, simply change it by using another body art henna dye.
