How to Clean Yahoo History
Yahoo! offers a top web search on the internet. As you conduct your searches, you may find that you want to remove traces of your browsing habits, such as visited websites or search terms, to protect your privacy. By performing tasks in the browsers you use in conjunction with the Yahoo! engine, you can successfully clean your history.

Launch a web browser, such as Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer, and go to the area that allows you to control your Internet preferences. In Firefox click the "Clear Recent History" option under the "Tools" menu. With Internet Explorer, click "Internet Options" under the "Tools" menu. Using Safari, click the "Preferences" option under the "Safari" menu, or simply use the drop-down menu options under the "Safari" menu.

Clear your browsing history.
In Safari, click the "Reset Safari" option under the "Safari" menu, check the box next to the "Clear History" option and then click the "Reset" button. Alternately, you can select the "Clear History" option from the "History" menu.
Using Firefox, click the "Clear Recent History" option under the "Tools" menu, click "Details," check the box next to "Browsing and Download History" and then click the "Clear Now" button.
With Internet Explorer, locate the "Browsing History" section, click the "Internet Options" title and then click the "Delete" button. For other versions, click the "General" tab, click the "Clear History" option, click "Yes" and then click the "OK" button.

Remove the "cookies" files.
With Safari, click "Reset Safari" under the "Safari" menu, check the "Remove all cookies" box and click the "Reset" button.
In Firefox, click the "Privacy" tab and then click the "Never remember history" option under the drop-down menu.
Using Internet Explorer, click the "General" tab, click "Delete" and then "Delete Cookies."

Delete the search terms to remove any words used when entering data on a web page.
Using Safari, click the "Reset Safari" option under the "Safari" menu, check the "Remove saved names and passwords" and "Remove other AutoFill form text" boxes and click the "Reset" button.
With Firefox, click the "Clear Recent History" option under the "Tools" menu, click "Details," check the box next to the "Form & Search History" option and click the "Clear Now" button.
In Internet Explorer, click the "Content" tab, click the "Settings" button in the "Auto Complete" section, remove the check in the box next to the "Forms" option and click the "OK" button.

Restart your web browser to make sure all changes take effect.
