How to Make Money Leasing Exotic Cars
In the world of exotic car leasing there is big money to be made, but it's not easy. Having the right clientele and product are two key ingredients in being able to profit from the lease of exotic cars.

1
Start working at a dealership that handles exotic automobiles. Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati are just a few exotic car brands that have big price tags and the potential for big profit. You'll need to start with lower-end vehicles such as Toyotas and Hondas before you're likely to land a job selling exotic luxury vehicles.
-
2
Build value for the customer when selling higher-end vehicles. For example, if you're selling a Ferrari, you would emphasize the amount of time that goes into the production of each vehicle. Even though you are selling a lease, you still make money from what the car was purchased for and what the car sells for. Most dealerships will pay you about 10 percent of the front-end profit (vehicle selling price minus vehicle cost).

3
Earn money on the back end of leasing an exotic car. This involves what is known in the business as the "money factor"--the number set by the bank to calculate the average monthly rent portion of the lease payment. Dealerships can charge a higher amount to the customer and keep the difference. This is known as "back-end money." Dealerships will usually pay you about 10 percent of the amount you make from back-end sales.
-
4
Sell after-market products with the car. Things like extended warranties, paint protection and vehicle theft recovery systems can be profitable. This is also usually considered back-end money, and your dealership will often pay you in the 10 percent range for this as well.
-
5
Keep your customers happy. If you treat them well, they are more likely to refer their friends, family and co-workers to you.

Tips & Warnings
The 10 percent commission is a general guideline. The percentage can vary based on experience and what you have negotiated with the dealership.
