Repeat steps 1 through 3 with the bracket on the right.

Mount the valance on the wall by untangling the cords from the head rail. Place the valance clips on the head rail with 18 inches between them.

Set the head rail against the wall above the window and center it. Make a mark on the wall with a pencil to the left and the right of the head rail. Draw a small line 1/8 inch outside of each of the first marks, which is where the bracket will go.

8
Open the left bracket's hinge and hold it against the wall where you made the last mark. Use the drill to make a hole 1 inch deep on the pencil marks. Do the same for the right bracket.
-
9
Hold the bracket against the wall with your hands and place the screws in the wall with a nut driver or slotted screwdriver attachment.
-
10
Straighten the cords attached to the head rail. Place the valance clips on the head rail about 18 inches apart.
-

Sit the head rail on the brackets and close the doors. Gently drop the valance into the valance clips.
