How to Reset the Air Bag Light in a Honda Element

The air bag light in a Honda Element will illuminate when there is a malfunction in the air bag assembly. Instructions

1. Open the fuse panel cover, and locate the large port for the diagnostic tool. There is only one port large enough to accept the electrical connector on the diagnostic tool.

2. Plug the diagnostic tool into the port on the fuse panel.

3. Turn the ignition key in your Honda Element to the "On" or "Run" position.

4. Wait for the air bag warning light to go out.
