Consider the colors. Choose a color that will go well with other accents or decor in your dining room. Also think about your dining preferences when choosing a color. White napkins might not be the best option for you if red wine is a constant at your home, for example.

Select a fabric. Cotton or polyester blends are the most common choices and are easiest to take care of because they are machine washable and durable.
