Instructions

    • 1

Locate the variegated Swedish ivy in indirect, but bright, light. Do not put the plant where it will receive hot afternoon sun. Variegated Swedish ivy also does well planted under a fluorescent light.

    • 2

Keep the soil moist at all time, but don't let it become soggy. Set the water out overnight so that chlorine and fluoride have time to dissipate before watering the plant.

    • 3

Feed variegated Swedish ivy twice a month with a water-soluble houseplant fertilizer. Apply the fertilizer according to the directions, but dilute it to half-strength.

    • 4

Pinch off the tips of the variegated Swedish ivy occasionally to promote bushy growth. Re-pot the plant when you see roots growing from the drainage hole in the bottom of the plant. Move it to a container one size larger, and plant it in commercial potting soil.
