How to Text Message With Verizon
Text messaging is a quick and easy way to convey a message or comment about something to another person using a cell phone. With Verizon, anyone who signs up and gets an account with Verizon also receives the ability to send text messages to anyone with a cell phone account at any other provider. These directions tell you how to send a message from a cell phone but there are two other ways to do it without a phone: see Tips below.

Tips & Warnings
If you don't have a phone, it is also possible to send text messages directly from the Verizon website to a Verizon customer. Click on the link below under Resources to access the page on the Verizon site that enables you to do is.
You can also send a text message from your email account by sending to "number@vtext.com." The number is just the person's 10-digit phone number.
Verizon charges a fee per text message sent as well as per message received. You may want to purchase a text messaging plan that allows you to send a specific amount of messages for free each month.
