How to Mod an Xbox 360 for Online Play
The Xbox 360 offers a wide variety of games. Even better, many of those games are capable of connecting to the Internet using Microsoft's gaming system, Xbox Live. However, before you can connect your Xbox 360 to the Internet via Xbox live, your Xbox needs to be set up to connect to the gaming network.

- Ethernet cable or Xbox 360 wireless adapter
- Router
- Broadband connection (DSL or better)

Connect your Xbox 360 to your router via an ethernet cable. Alternatively, if you are using a wireless connection, place the Xbox wireless adapter into the USB port on the back of the 360 and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your wireless network.

Browse to the "Xbox Live" tab of your 360's main menu. Choose the "Sign Into Live option" to connect to Xbox Live. If you already have an Xbox Live account, sign into it and skip to Step 4. Otherwise, proceed to the next step.

Create an Xbox Live account. You will need to give information such as a username, password, email address and a credit card number.

Insert the Xbox game you want to play. When the game loads, select the "Xbox Live" option. You will then be taken to the Xbox Live tag again, where you can arrange to play the game with people over the Internet.

Tips & Warnings
Some games are not Xbox-Live playable, and cannot be played on the Internet.
Xbox live will charge a per-month fee to your account until you cancel it.
