The holiday season is a time for celebration and cheer, and a fun way to express your Christmas cheer is through your makeup. This eye look is a festive blend featuring the colors green and gold. Blended eye shadow looks are a variation of a smoky eye, which is when two colors are melded together. This look is flattering on all skin tones and eye colors. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Eye primer
- Shadow brush
- Shimmering mint green eye shadow
- Gold eye shadow
- Crease brush
- Glitter-flecked gold eye shadow
- Black eye shadow
- Black mascara
- Coral pink blush (optional)
- Nude lipstick (optional)
Instructions
-
-
1
Pat eye primer onto the eye lids with your fingers.
-
2
Use the shadow brush to apply shimmering mint green eye shadow all over the eye lid up to the brow.
-
-
3
Apply gold eye shadow to the inner corner of the eye and the crease with the crease brush. Blend between the inner corner and the inner crease to create a smooth flow of color. Blending is merely sweeping lightly to help meld the gold and green together.
-
4
Use the crease brush to apply the glitter-flecked gold eye shadow to the outer corner of the eye. The outer corner of the eye makes a V shape. Sweep the eye shadow into the outer V (outlining the V) and blend inward toward the crease. This motion may make it difficult to control where the glitter falls, but it doesn't need to be perfect since this look is meant to be carefree.
-
5
Line your upper lash line and tight line with black eye shadow and line the outer two-thirds of your lower lash line. Your tight line is located under your upper lashes.
-
6
Apply black mascara to the outer upper lashes to make the eye appear more open.
