Long-standing businesses often accumulate a significant number of names and are willing to sell their list to other companies. How To Join A Postal Mailing List
-
1
Locate catalogs of companies that sell products or services in which you are interested. Check the Sunday paper or save direct mailings that arrive in your mailbox. Look inside the catalog or direct mail and locate the name and address of the distributing company. If a phone number is listed, call and tell them you want to be added to their list. If only an address is listed, write a short letter that contains the key sentence: "Add me to your mailing list."

Tips & Warnings
Send a typed version of your letter when contacting the Direct Marketing Association or large mailing list companies. They deal with a lot of data each day, and a typed letter will ensure your information is accurately entered into their system.
Purchase products occasionally and this will ensure that you remain on mailing lists.
Do not join too many mailing lists because this will result in a lot of postal mail. Contact some of the main sources only.
