1
Check a print version of a TV guide. Though these are somewhat outdated, they're still available in many Sunday newspapers and are a good resource for finding movies if you don't have interactive cable or satellite, such as Comcast or DirectTV. Movies will always be in dark squares on the lineup, and many print guides offer brief reviews and ratings for the movie, as well as the channel and time.

2
Turn to the TV guide channel. This channel, which is available on most cable and satellite networks, lists movies that are either on at that moment or will be on soon. The channel number for the TV Guide Channel will differ depending on your location, but it's typically below channel 10.

Use an interactive menu. These are available on Comcast and Time Warner digital cable, Verizon FIOS, and DirectTV satellite networks as well as many other smaller cable providers like Jetbroadband. Interactive guides allow you to search for movies only on all channels, as well as what will be showing in the future, and include a brief synopsis, year of release, and usually a rating for the movie. To get to the interactive menu on most digital cable boxes or satellite systems, press "Guide" or "Menu" on your remote control.

Go to the TV Guide magazine website or an online site like LocateTV. These sites can be programmed to list your cable or satellite provider's current slate of programs and can be adjusted to show only those channels with movies. The TV Guide site has a tab that says "Movies," and clicking on it will list all movies on at the time you've chosen.
