How to Treat Cuts on a Cat
If your cat is an outdoor cat, it is only a matter of time before it runs in to some other cats. Not all of the neighborhood cats are going to be friendly. Your cat may get in a fight and come home with a cut. You will want to treat the cut so that it stops bleeding. You also want to make sure that the cut is clean so that it does not get infected.

3
Mix one cap full of the Betadine solution with ten cap fulls of water. Pour the solution over the cut.
-
4
Pat the fur around the cut dry with a white cloth. The dye from colored cloths can get into the cut so it's always best to use white.
-
5
Place a small amount of antibiotic ointment over the cut and cover it with gauze. Wrap more gauze around the area so the cat can't get to the cut. Change the gauze and clean the cut daily.

Tips & Warnings
Use a cat collar to keep your cat from removing any of her bandages.
Do not use hydrogen peroxide more than once on a cut. It's best if you not use it at all because of possible tissue damage to the cat.
Take your cat to the vet if you notice any pus, or if you think the cut has become infected. The vet will also need to see the cat if the cut is not healing despite your treatment at home.
