How to Become a Home Inspector for HUD
If you want to become a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) inspector, you will need to pass strict requirements. Being an federal housing inspector means that you will need experience in housing inspection, have computer skills and knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. You will physically inspect the exterior, interior and building systems of all HUD-certified homes and write up reports. You will note any needed repairs, the condition of all parts of the house and the useful life of major appliances and systems.
