Download Loopt. Press the "Home" button on your iPhone and tap the "App Store" button on the screen. Tap the "Search" button and type "Loopt." Tape the "Free" button, followed by tapping the "Install" button. Type in your password and click the "OK" button. Tap the "Loopt" button on your screen.

Tap the "OK" button. The app will ask your location, which allows it to generate a map. Tap the "Register" button and fill out the form to provide Loopt with your contact information.
Loop will send a text message with a verification code that needs to be entered before you can use the app. Tap the "Reply" button on the screen and tap the url in the text message to verify your account.

Tap the "Friends" button at the bottom of the screen. Tap the "Add more friends" bar at the bottom of the screen. Add friends from your address book, Facebook friends or search through Loopt's database of users.
