How to Uninstall Norton Utilities on a Mac

Norton Utilities is a product by Symantec that maintains your computer's functions by using a combination of tools such as disk defragmenter and disk repair, and organizes your files to improve computer performance. Although this program is helpful for older operating systems such as Tiger, the Leopard and Snow Leopard operating systems include many of these helpful features and work seamlessly to reduce possible software conflicts. Norton Utilities for Macintosh computers was discontinued, which may cause software conflicts with other programs or future operating system updates and requires uninstalling the program.
