How to Access the Pound & Star Keys on a Desktop Keyboard

To access the pound and star keys on a desktop keyboard, the steps will be the same as if you were using a typewriter or laptop computer. As long as your keyboard is a Qwerty, which it most likely it is, the keyboard commands are universal regardless of the type computer you use. Qwerty is the name of the standard English keyboard and is derived from the keys shown at the top left of the alpha section. If you do data entry for accounting purposes, there is a second star key located in the numeric keypad of a desktop keyboard. Most laptop keyboards do not have this special numeric keypad unless you buy it separately.
