How to Set Up Address Labels
Address labels allow you to easily create professional-looking envelopes. Designing, setting up and printing labels can be done online in just a few minutes. All you need is a few minutes, a package of mailing labels and a computer and printer and you can produce a mailing label that will save you time, making your mailing needs that much easier to complete.

Browse the Avery label website, which offers a large selection of labels.

Select the tab labeled Templates & Software. Scroll down and select Design & Print Online. This will open a new window that is divided into three sections. Click on the left-most section titled, Create By Product.

Choose your label type in the next window. If you are using an Avery label simply type in the correct number. If you are using a different brand it should have a compatible Avery number. If it doesn't, simply click on the type of label you have and compare your label to the Avery label until you find the correct type. Click Next.

Pick a label design. For a 5311 address label Avery offers four different options. Use your mouse to click on the design that you want. The next window will offer you editing options and mail merge. For a simple design simply click Next.

Type in the name and address you wish to appear on the label. You will also have an option to add a logo if you want to. After adding the address, click Next.

Customize your font, alignment and color on the next page. The tools are standard and easy to use. The changes you make will show up in the preview box on your right. When you have the design, color, alignment and image that you like, click Next.

Review a full-page version of your label. There are buttons that allow you to go back and make changes if you need to. If the labels are correct, click Next.

Print or save your file on the Finish page. Insert labels in your printer and print one out.

Tips & Warnings
Always test print and make sure your labels correctly line up with the pre-cuts on the label stock before printing out your labels.
