      Read all safety decals before starting the engine and check for any missing, loose or broken parts on the equipment. Before any repairs, remove the spark plug. Make sure the area is clear of bystanders (especially children) and all obstacles, such as toys. Wear proper snug-fitting clothing and safety equipment, such as eye goggles, gloves and work boots. Read the owner's manual thoroughly for detailed safety instructions.

      Locate the attachment clutch and then the traction drive clutch on the handlebars. Squeeze the traction drive clutch to the handlebar. This engages the wheel drive to propel the unit. To stop the engine, release the lever.

      Squeeze the clutch lever on the right to the handlebar to engage the attachment.
      To disengage the power, release both clutch levers to disengage power and apply the brake to the attachment.

      Select the speed level and position. Close the choke to start the engine. Open the choke for normal operation. Adjust throttle to increase or decrease the throttle speed. Push the starter button and the electric starter will start when choked and cranked properly. Pull the recoil starter handle to turn engine over.
