How to Install a Vacuum Bag
If your upright vacuum cleaner is not picking up dirt and debris like it did when it was new, it may be time to change your vacuum bag. Change vacuum bags depending on how often the vacuum is used and how much debris it picks up during each use. When the bag is about half full, you should change it. If you're not sure how full the bag is, simply feel the bag after each use to determine if it needs to be changed. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Unzip the bag cover to expose the inner bag. Unhook any straps that hold the bag in place inside of the vacuum cleaner.
-
2
Lay the full bag down on the ground with the hose attachment facing up. Shake the hose a few times to dislodge any dirt in the hose and force it back into the bag.

3
Turn the hose attachment to the right and pull to release. Some hoses will have two levers on either side. Squeeze the levers to release the bag.
-
4
Insert the hose into the hose opening of a new bag. Turn the hose clockwise to lock it in place.
-
5
Re-attach any straps that hold the bag in place. Stuff it back into the vacuum's protective casing. Be sure the new bag hangs straight before zipping the cover.
